"You really shouldn't go in there." When Wally continued for the door, a hand was placed on his chest. "Okay, let me say this more directly. You can't go in there. It needs to be a sterile environment."
"I can wash," Wally said, head zipping and leaning to try and see past the nurse.
"No, I think we're going to do exactly what the doctor told us and we're going to get you x-rays."
Another guy came hurrying out. "It's like we thought. It needs replaced. What's the eta on that joint?"
"Hospital courier should be arriving any moment with it."
"I'll wait for them outside. Why isn't he down in x-ray?"
"Because he's being difficult and I'm about to get difficult with him."
Wally was then led away, but not without looking at the door worriedly. "Okay, but let's make it fast?"
"As if we could even hope to go your speed," the nurse said tartly, ushering him away.
