"Nothing is like giving out flowers." Dinah quipped back. The florist in her couldn't accept the state of a world where buying a girl flowers had been replaced by cars. Everyone deserved flowers. Though she did agree it was an entirely sexy car. "Yeah it is." She replied without hesitation, pointing with one hand to direct Connor towards a far corner of the parking lot.
"Keep up your speed. Get it up to about 15 mph-- when you do, watch the RPMs; here." She pointed to the dial on the dash, keeping half an eye on the road the whole time. "When this gets to about 3000-4000 RPMs, you're going to hit the clutch and pop into second gear. In all likelihood, you're not going to time it exactly right the first couple times. It's going to make an ungodly grinding noise and we're all going to scream the girly shrieks of cartoon characters." She warned-- it was all part of learning. "That said, keep your cool and keep trying. Driving stick shift is all about getting a feel for the car you're in and letting it tell you when to shift gears. I'll give you the basic cues, but from there you're on your own. You're the driver after all." She explained, waiting to make sure that Connor got the gist of the lesson before she returned to the topic at hand (because the kids had managed to use her own trick of getting them in a place they couldn't run to talk about important stuff).
"I like him. I like him quite a bit actually. Do I like him enough to say that we're going to be together for the next ten plus years? No, maybe not. But I do like him enough that I'm open to the idea, and willing to see where this goes." She answered honestly, looking over at Connor with a small smile, "Does that answer your question?"
