Danny immediately liked Dinah, remaining a bit unsure about Barbara. He suspected he couldn't accurately gauge her personality based on her current mood, as everyone had bad days they just wanted to end. It didn't make them bad people.
At Luke's arrival he smiled, giving his buddy a back-slap at the first opportunity. He shrugged at Luke's comment. "Well being left high and dry with such lovely company is forgivable" Danny said with a smirk. He went along with the others and paused to allow Dinah to take the seat next to Barbara before he sat down in the booth.
At Barbara's comment, a laundry list of complaints came to Danny's mind, but they were his crosses to bear, and so he simply smiled. "Well, I can honestly say it's lived up to it's reputation. But it really is an amazing place, and I think it's worth protecting." Danny cocked his head to the side, considering the two women.
"I guess what I'm wondering is, what exactly do you want from us? Seems like Gotham has a lifetime's worth of crazies to fight and crime to put down, what interests you in an outfit like ours?" He looked at Luke, adding "I probably should have asked these kind of questions earlier..."
