sorry i took so long :P
Danny decided to stop beating around the bush and give the girls a break. Finishing his sake, he plunged his hands into his deep pockets, turned and walked down the bar to them. "Hey I'm Danny, pleasure to finally meet you." His gaze darted between the two women, as he shook both of their hands.
He listened carefully to their responses, while surreptitiously evaluating the two women. The combination of mystical power and a lifetime of training in Eastern physical philosophies gave Danny an uncanny ability to read people.
From her sparkling eyes to, her smile lighting up the room, positive energy rolled off the blonde like steam on an cold winter's night. Though she appeared relaxed, her movements were absolutely confident and controlled- from the way she held her drink, to her instinctively sound stance. Danny immediately made her for a Dragon style master, and suspected she knew a number of other martial schools he couldn't identify.
As alluring as her companion was, Danny found his attention sliding instinctively toward Barbara. She was much more contained, giving Danny far less to work off, but two things were obvious. First, she had suffered a significant injury to her back or legs. Her stance was strange- the position of her legs and upper body at odds in ways that would be obvious to those who studied human balance. Second, she was in a very bad place right now. Whether it was her injury or some mental trauma he couldn't say, but her chi read as very out-of-whack. Despite this, her beauty rivalled that of friend- in an understated, girl-next-door sort of way. Her fair skin, her mischievous eyes, and the lovely crimson tresses that cascaded down her shoulders. Danny felt his suspicion give way to empathy. He wanted to help her, but more than anything he wanted to preserve her dignity.
“Why don't we sit down? I need to get off my feet” he said, pointing toward an open booth in the corner.
