"We'll have to get used to the blinding hotness." Mia joked, finishing Kate's thought for her. "Roman gods of the galaxy or whatever."
Mia's mouth twitched lightly as she pushed some tangled hair behind her ear. Yes, she had been. "Well, I got to bed after dawn, so mostly I've been sleeping." Which wasn't technically a lie, if she'd only been talking about Saturday, but she hadn't been to school yesterday. "I don't really feel fit for most human interactions right now is all. I'll get over it." She always did when people disappointed her. Or when she disappointed herself.
Now that Kate was here though. There was something Mia needed to talk to her about. "So I finally spoke to the other archer chick." Mia had run a check on Bonnie King the minute she'd gotten home from that meeting, and since she only had one daughter, by proxy, she'd found out a lot about Arrowette. "Calls herself Arrowette. It's a call back to her mother. Apparently when Roy was first Speedy, there was a lady. She'd been an Olympic archer, and she was trying to break into the biz in Star City. Called herself Miss Arrowette." What a stupid fucking name. Mia couldn't even with that name and her name was Speedy. Like for real? "I haven't asked Oliver directly yet, but from what I gather she was technically very, very good, but kind of a super annoying person."
"Anyway," she said shaking her head. "She trained her daughter up, but she's been out of the game for a little while. Her fighting is rusty, and her footwork is too by the book. It's fine for taking down purse snatchers, but she'd be on her back against someone well trained and on their game." She paused for a second. "She's a good shot though. Probably better than me." Alright so she might have sounded a tad bitter.
