Cissie didn't have a TV in her dorm room which lead to a lot of illegal streaming of shows and the like, but when she wanted to watch something live she generally had to go down to the common room like everyone else who didn't have their own TV. And today was no exception. Their regularly scheduled shows had been cancelled to bring them Captain America's press conference, hell the news stations had been talking about this all day.
She was sitting amongst some of her peers as the conference finished and she couldn't help but be moved by the words. She'd never really been one that was interested in politics until now, yes she'd been studying it in class, but as much as she'd disagreed with the actions of the Fantastic Four, she agreed with what the Captain had said!
She'd spent the last few weeks working on this protest, but seeing people - someone like Captain America - speaking out against Luthor... it said something. People weren't afraid. Someone like him wasn't afraid to say what he thought. If what Ms. Frost was teaching them was any indication that was exactly what this country was about. So she was moving in the right direction... Even as just one more voice in the crowd? Going against the ideas of the president didn't make you any less of a citizen. In fact making yourself heard made you more of one...
