"Capes never end well. Didn't you ever watch The Incredibles?" OH yes, Cint was referencing pop culture. He did occasionally take a day off every now and again. And he had a thing for superhero movies. They were fun, when they weren't blatant propaganda for the real things. There had been that weird Badger movie a few years ago about the indestructible guy. That had been odd. Otherwise, most of the time they were a lot of fun. Being an Avenger or vigilante was expensive when you weren't relying on super strength, speed, or endurance to keep your ass out of the fire. No, when it came down to those of them who were like Clint and Cissie, they relied on tech to survive. In those cases, money counted.
Clint had a supplier of his own and he often pestered Stark or the SHIELD R&D to work on a few smaller projects for him when he had an idea or two. He was great at ideas. Not so great at the engineering part of it.
"What incidents?" That she was looking to examine the patterns.
"You're angling for sidekick? Would have taken you for looking for your own name." A beat. "Arrowette." Given the way she'd spoken to him last time. Clint couldn't stomach being a sidekick, not after his first stint as one had ended in getting shot by his own brother and then nearly ending up in prison. He was quicker than people gave him credit for, fortunately. He was also a different person now entirely. "Hawkeye."
