"Anything that doesn't have a white cape is a vast improvement," she smirked. She didn't think that he agreed but a girl on a budget needed to work with what she had. Not everyone was able to afford the kind of costume he was sporting. A hero on a budget, that was actually almost a funny thought. She bet that most of them didn't have those kinds of limitations, but you didn't need cash to be effective at what you did!
Cissie shrugged. "Probably because you knew what to look for?" It was more of a question than a statement. "I'll be in that area by the end of the night. Something of a patrol cycle. Start in one area, make your way to another as it gets later, follow the pattern of the incidents." She seemed to be quoting someone else, the words not sounding herself, and she said them almost as if it has been through rote memorization.
Hawkeye's comments (not that she knew what his name was yet) caused her to frown. "They haven't made it illegal yet. I hear that it's all the rage, heroes having sidekicks. I'm just... setting a new trend." The edges of her lips pulled up for just a moment. "It's like being a religion vs being a cult. Being a vigilante? Illegal. Unless you're sponsored, then they accept you and give you tax exempt status."
"So," she started again. "Who were you surveiling?" Cissie leaned against a smoke stack that was behind her, getting a bit more serious. "Actually, I'm glad you stalked by," she said after a moment. "You never gave me your name last time.
