Who: The Question and The goddamn BATMAN! Where: GCPD HQ Rooftop When: April 10th What: While Helena recovers from her surgeries, The Question poses something to the Batman. Rating: PG-13
It was well into spring and yet the night air left the vigilante known as The Question shivering. The air felt crisp and cool on what little exposed skin the faceless man had as he moved across the rooftop of the Gotham City Police Department. He understood the processes of his body and that his nerves were shunting blood toward his core. As a rule, Vic had kept his distance from people. The memory of Myra didn't sting as it once did but it had been a lesson and constant reminder of his past failings. And yet, his nerves were on edge over the most recent mishap with Gotham City's most notorious criminal. The fact that Helena almost died in a confrontation had his body going through a rage of emotions. This had to end.
The metal panel opened up with the slightest touch and The Question activated Gotham's beacon to their nightly protector. Staring up at the sky, he scowled at the symbol shining upon the clouds. He was a god to these people and yet he was still a victim to his own hubris. Or perhaps it was something closer to what he viewed as morals. Q could never be certain of that.
So he sat with his back pressed against the side of the Batsignal and waited for the city's protector to arrive.
