The magazines had been purchased this morning at a stand just outside the Baxter Building. It was an eclectic mix. More than a few car magazines, the usual staples: Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, GQ, Time, Cosmo, Us Weekly and some others. It should have been enough to entertain her for a few hours.
Johnny moved closer to the bed just in case Helena got really stubborn and tried to go for the encore performance. Luckily none of the medical equipment had started wailing in protest. Small favors there.
"The woman at the information desk recognized me but I managed to procure her silence." Johnny tugged his sunglasses down just enough that he could see over the top of them and dropped a wink at Helena. A few autographs were trivial compared to dealing with the paparazzi.
