Who: Peter Parker and Tommy Shepherd Where: Midtown High, Library When: Tuesday, April 9th What: Tommy needs a French tutor and Peter is s-m-r-t. Lucky him. Rating: PG-13
Tommy had been to the library exactly once. He couldn't even remember why. He just remembered the old shelving, books with yellowing slip covers and the vast number of tables strewn about. It wasn't exactly where he wanted to spend his free time.
However, he really didn't want to repeat the second level of French again. The teacher was boring and so was the language. It wasn't as if it was ever going to come in handy. Still, if he wanted to graduate sometime this century he should probably suck it up. (Which was something Mia told him frequently.)
His teacher had finally realized that giving him multiple detentions wasn't exactly inspiring him to apply himself and had gone the extra mile to set him up with a tutor. Some Senior Tommy only knew in passing as one of the smart kids. It took him a moment to pick him out of the small library crowd but Tommy quickly walked over and dropped down into the seat next to him.
"Okay, let's just get this over with."
Tommy hadn't brought a pencil with him, let alone his backpack or textbook. It looked like Peter had his work cut out for him.
