The Soldier chuckled a bit when she started tossing out nicknames and confirmed what he had already looked to find out for himself. It was better off this way, he didn't need some big dust-up when he was just getting the ball rolling. There were a lot of fires to tend to and the momentum would carry the plan to fruition, it was nearly impossible for him to not succeed after a certain point. But at the beginning, that was when the entire strategy was at risk..of course that was common knowledge in the science of warfare, being proactive about problem solving and such. He took another glance through his scope at the window as she spoke once again, scanning the room the illicit deal was taking place in. Weighing his options, he knew he could get the shot off and get off the roof alive. He was one of the best at what he did, he just didn't know how easy the girl was gonna make it for him. Probably not much at all.
He did smirk at her kiss and tell comment, he'd expected as much and let it roll off his shoulders as he slowly lowered the scope from his vision. A glance given to her as she spoke about him going ahead and moving on, finger surreptitiously sliding from the trigger guard to the trigger itself. Things were moving into an area where they could get very tense and aggressive very quickly, so he figured it was best to be prepared. He let out a slow, silent breath while shifting his position just enough on the ledge to be ready for any sudden shifts in the status quo. "Maybe, but I have a healthy appetite."
While he didn't bother to tell her that he wasn't getting paid for the hit and they wouldn't be at odds if she wasn't there to protect either of the men, he figured it wasn't something she needed to know. She was a strange woman with a rifle who was apparently there to murder another human being, she didn't need to know what his agenda was at all. He might be a killer, but his handlers had more than just money to offer..he was working for the good of his people (ostensibly). Regardless, he didn't leave and he didn't pander..instead he chose to remain where he was and make sure that his target didn't leave the room breathing. If the oddly-pigmented woman didn't get in his way, it would be no issue at all.
