Who: Apollo & Hulkling Where: Teddy's Apartment When: Night, January 31st, 2013 What: Apollo Checks In. Rating: PG-13.
It was Apollo's turn to play social worker, apparently. Tonight, though, he was okay with it. So, as he stepped out of the door provided by the hellicarrier and into the hallway of Teddy's new apartment building, Apollo took a deep breath and smoothed out the black leather jacket he wore. Apollo was wearing street clothes instead of the uniform, which was surprising since Apollo and Midnighter always seemed to default to their costumes. Apollo just assumed wearing a pair of jeans, a white shirt, and black shoes would make the kid feel a little more at ease.
Apollo felt the young blond teen. It couldn't be easy finding out that you were an alien hybrid of warring alien nations. Not to mention losing his home and his only family on the same night. At least the kid had some brave friends who had his back. It was more than a lot of kids his age could claim. Apollo stopped at the door and knocked carefully, offering a small smile at a passerby as he waited for Teddy to answer the door.
Should he have called ahead? Unannounced drop ins were a thing, right? Maybe he should've checked to see if the kid was even home. Great job, he thought to himself, you're off to a great start.
