Scarlet Witch/Cap + OPEN
On the Raft, Captain America was grateful when he heard the Scarlet Witch report in. They needed the back-up. And her skill-set. He wouldn't have considered magic a skill set his old life. Magic was something the Red Skull believed was intertwined with science and his precious Teutonic myths... which, it turned out, weren't so crazy now.
Steve would never entirely trust magic, but he'd grown to accept that that it was a part of his new life. He was a Man out of Time, and his new life included magic. And the internet. 24 hour news. Superheroes.
Yeah, superheroes. Privately, Steve still had a hard time wrapping his head around how many people actually put on tights to fight crime. He'd had a hard time believing it when he'd been joined by the likes of Spitfire, Union Jack and Miss America in the '40s, too. But he always maintained that his disbelief didn't matter because they were all fighting for the same cause.
He believed the same was true for the Avengers.
"Scarlet Witch, glad to hear you're on board," Cap said, speaking to her over the general frequency. "We need your help in containing Purple Man ASAP. He's down for now, but I wouldn't count him out."
His voice was commanding, that of a leader. His next words were to all agents on the Raft-- Avenger or otherwise, "Everyone stay alert. No one goes near Purple Man who doesn't have to. Do not let him get inside your head."
