It was difficult to tell what Reed Richards was thinking on a regular day, given that his thoughts were usually unintelligible for the majority of persons (even fellow geniuses). But when the cameras panned across the assemblage of politicians and celebrities who were in attendance, Reed Richards' face was entirely inscrutable.
His candidate may not have one and, notably, Reed was not a personal fan of Lex Luthor's, in any capacity outside of a respect for his intellect. But the fact remained that for the next two years, Lex Luthor was the forty-fifth President of the United States; and the office alone was what Reed paid his respects to. And, unlike some, he was unwilling to air dirty laundry or unkind remarks that he may or may not have had about the President. That was not something that Reed cared to use his celebrity for.
This man was the Commander and Chief; President of the United States of America... and Reed was an American. He would do his patriotic duty to the best of his ability-- but that didn't mean he had to like Luthor.
