Dinah, Danny & Connor (Sorry Danny, this is the last one. Promise)
Mia introduced, crisis with Oliver thoroughly avoided, Dinah thought that the "hey meet my family/my ex and his kids" portion of the not!date-date was over. But she had been wrong before...
Dinah actually did very well when it came to pretending to be interested and at all involved in the conversations that the blue bloods kept pulling Danny (and thus herself) into. Sometimes she even gave thoughtful insight, but mostly she was fine with standing back and staying quiet-- half because they were talking business kinds of things and, while Dinah knew enough about business to have run her own (a couple times), businesses of the size these people were talking about were beyond her usual experience.
The other half was because it was kind of fun watch Danny go all C.E.O. on this kind of thing-- a far cry from his Kung Fu master-y self that she normally saw. Then again, if nothing else, tonight had been a wonderful opportunity for her to see Danny outside of his gi and sweats; and to get to know him by more than just his Kung Fu. And that, more than anything else really, was what made the whole evening enjoyable.
Besides, Dinah was well aware that she made pretty good arm-candy, considering she used that angle for undercover work every now and then.
In the middle of one such impromptu meeting (that it didn't seem likely Danny would be able to slip out of without outside intervention), Dinah looked around, trying to spot anyone else that she might know.
