Mia had been snoring loudly. It was a sign of how tired she was. She just wasn't that heavy of a sleeper, and the beep of her communicator half woke her up. She groped blindly for it on her bedside table and never bothered to open her eyes.
"Where'sat?" She mumbled, running her words together. Being a hero was all about prioritizing, if it was fireworks or a regular fire, firefighters were equipped to handle it. She grabbed the remote and hit on the TV to see if there was news, and watched through half-lidded eyes.
She caught the word explosion, but that wasn't what made her wake up instantly, it was the place that blew up. "Shit, guys, that's Teddy's house!" She was already up and gearing up as she tried the phone.
