Who: Jason Todd (narrative!) When: November 30th (backdated) What: Jason has questions about Mia, so he does what anyone else would do. He secretly runs a background check (obviously checked with Stacey first!) Rating: Low, slight mention of drugs and prostitution
While Jason didn't quite have the computer capabilities of say, the Batcave, he still managed to get along with the equipment he did have. It just took him a little longer than he would like. It was a slow night, so Jason took the time to look up some information on Mia. Certain things had tipped him off that something was off. Or that she was hiding something. He managed to pick up a bit of her records and was scrolling through them:
Full Name: Mia Elise Dearden BDAY: July 24, 1995 Place of Birth: Rancho Calaveras, California Father: Martin Dearden b. January 11, 1970 Mother: Shelby Dearden b. April 28, 1978 (Deceased August 3, 2006 Cause of death: Alcohol poisoning/mixed with hydrocodone (accidental))
She had already told him about her family, a bit. At least enough to know that they both had lost their mother-figures in similar fashion. Didn't stop him from frowning a bit before he continued digging. He found that she had a juvenile police record. Included shoplifting, possession, prostitution. They also both had rough childhoods, so he would never judge for that either. Just proof that they had a lot of similarities.
A little more digging (and another cup of coffee) brought him to her social services file. Most of it added details to her arrest record. It confirmed that her father was an abusive asshole, so no wonder she got out of that. It was noted that she ran away from a group home after not even spending one night there. Another thing Jason couldn't fault her for. Group homes could be down right shitty. It just made the community feel good knowing there was somewhere to throw "delinquents." It was all stuff either he had expected or, despite them being awful occurrences, wasn't surprised by. Still, he kept reading. More trouble, went to a youth home, fights, etc. etc.

Jason tilted his head.
"Not that asshole," he murmured to himself. Of course Jason knew who he was. He was, friends wasn't the right word, something to Bruce. They were in the same business, both rich boys with fancy vigilante equipment. Both with a penchant for picking up....
