Decisions Made in Moonlight Who: Cassandra Wayne and Doug Ramsey What: Batgirl finally reveals her identity to Doug. This leads to a surprising conversation. Where: Doug's bedroom, Park Row, Gotham. When: Sunday, December 13th, early morning hours. Rating: Adult, to be safe.
It was one of those nights. The kind where no matter how much Cass pushed herself as Batgirl, no matter how many butts she kicked, she still felt restless. Like there was something she needed to get out of her system. This type of restlessness felt different than the times she was horny, but she still sought out the same remedy for it. She hoped it would help.
She showed up at Doug Ramsey's window, slipping inside like a shadow. He happened to be awake, but in the mood she was in it would have mattered little if he'd been asleep. She'd have just woke him up.
Her body language carried the telltale signals: /I'm frustrated. I need this. I need you. Please hold me. Please love me/. But they had a different undercurrent this time, something not even she could articulate. As if on autopilot, she performed the usual dance where she slipped around behind him and placed her gloved hands on his shoulders just as he registered that she had slipped a condom into the palm of his hand. Then her gloves came off. Then her belt. Then her mask. Then she peeled out of her costume, and along the way each body part that she exposed was then pressed against his back.
They'd been having sex since shortly before her birthday at the end of October, but the times they actually did it were relatively few thanks to the lives they led. But each time, they savored their time together, and this was no different. Each time, they took care to keep him from actually seeing her face.
An hour later, they were both lying in his bed, cuddling. Batgirl stared at the ceiling, still physically wired. This was probably useful, since it meant she was in no danger of dozing off despite the late hour. But it also meant that her restlessness hadn't subsided. There was still something. Something that needed to happen. Something that would drive her to distraction until she figured out what it was.
She glanced out the window, pondering whether or not she should go patrol for another hour before going home, or just go home to Wayne Manor. Then she saw it. Her reflection, barely visible in the moonlight, but stark nonetheless. Her face looked as if it had been chiseled from shadows and moonlight. Yet Doug thought of her in terms of sunshine.
She sat up and stared at herself in the window. She'd come to a decision, and Bruce wasn't going to like it. He and most of her family weren't even particularly happy that she and Doug had become physically intimate.
She gently poked Doug. /Are you awake? I need to tell you something important./
