The Batwing was fast and silent, taking only fifteen minutes to get from New Jersey to Deleware and lowering to a stop not far from the plaza, with all the grace of a helicopter. In minutes, Batman had joined the fray in a rare daylight appearance.
"Why is it," he said, looking around and assessing the layout of the five robots. "I have to deal with the Joker and Bane, and you get oversized toy robots?" He spoke no louder than he would in a normal conversation, but Batman was confident Superman had heard him.
Using the grapple gun to get up onto one of the robots, Batman figured that they weren't actually seeing out of their eyes, but were probably just rampaging as they pleased. If true, that would make things a little easier. Withdrawing the 'goo-gun' from his belt, he fired two blasts, one at each eye, and as it began to harden, he threw a couple of thermite grenades up to stick in them, too.
As the gelatinous substance hardened into a shell, the grenades exploded, taking out the robot's laser eyes. The robot lurched dangerously, and Batman slid around to the back, looking for an opening panel. The door appeared to have been soldered shut in places, but it was easy to open with his acetylene torch to see what was inside.
The monitor in his glove had cables and he attached them to the inside, hoping those on the ground could stay out of the way just a little longer. Watching the screen as the information uploaded, Batman looked around to see if any robots were in his line of vision. He had an idea - but he might need an assist.
"Superman!" Louder than normal to be heard above the noise. "I might need you to catch something in a minute!"
The upload finished and Batman yanked the cabled free, shoving them away and closing the compartment. Pressing the button on his glove that activated the electric shockers in his fingertips, normally used to activate the Shape-memory fibers in his cape, he reached into the robot's internal wiring and grabbed hold of anything that wasn't insulated, frying the computer.
