It was getting around that time of year again. There was a carpet of snow on the ground as she made her way toward the huge store. It wasn't a place that she frequented often, usually finding this and that along her travels, but this year, she just happened to be in New York. She happened to be in New York a lot lately. Sure she went out of the country for a job, but she'd returned.
Stopping by FAO Schwartz only seemed natural.
Going through the different aisles, she frowned at the difference between the girl section and the boy section. As much as she would love her daughter to grow up and become Susie homemaker and know how to care for babies, wear pretty clothes, and cook, she was far too young for all that mess. And so she wandered off toward the boys section.
She thought of getting her a little chemistry set or maybe a little toy gun. There was the passing thought of just getting her a set of claws or some plastic sais. That was completely blocked out by the big box she saw on the shelf as she turned the corner. The display wasn't too far in front of it. The dinosaurs congregated around the front of the cave. They were all sorts and they were soft and their heads were poking out various holes in the dome.
Looking around a bit more at the other toys in the section, she picked up a few more things before heading to the cash register.
