While Piotr was interested in the structure of the place, from its liquid walls and large windows, and would have loved to spend time sketching some of the more delicate intricacies of the library, now was not the time. He watched the other library patrons leave at Cable's request and glanced briefly over at Logan to see what he made of the entire situation. Pete still wasn't entirely comfortable with all of this-- with Cable or the island or their being outnumbered or Cable knowing they were coming before even they did, probably-- but he had relaxed enough to look like he wasn't about to go all shiny and start wrecking up the place.
Or at least until Deadpool showed up. Then it took every ounce of conscious thought for Pete not to armor up immediately and step between the mercenary and Bobby and Rogue. But his team mates had told him to relax and given him enough grief about armoring up before they even touched down that the last thing he wanted to do was be responsible for an Incident by acting on instinct when he'd been specifically told not to armor up. He did bristle, however, and straightened his back, standing at his full height (which was still shorter than Cable) with his arms crossed over his broad chest and kept both eyes on the mercenary.
