Who: Jessica Drew
NPCs: N/A
What: Jessica loves her job. No really - someone's actually happy it's Monday.
Where: Helicarrier
When: Monday, November 26th
She had got there early that morning, feeling a sense of homecoming as she made her way through the Helicarrier to the area that she worked in. She hadn't felt that same sense of homecoming when she had gotten home to her apartment, it had waited until she got here to the Helicarrier. Having been away on a mission in Prague, for a few weeks, Jessica was actually looking forward to writing up her report this morning. Things had gone well, she was counting it as a success, and well, she'd deal with her hair. The hair 'issue' - which was not going into the report because really, it was just such a minor thing - was that her hair on the right side of her head was cut a little shorter now then the hair on the left. She'd find a hair dresser (or take some scissors to it) herself and even it out. At the moment her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she didn't think anyone would notice the unevenness.
Taking a seat at her desk, she started checking memos, and emails that had accumulated in her time away, moving things into the appropriate folders. This was nice, this was familiar, she liked this. She also of course liked the missions, especially the ones that went well. And beyond one of the people she had been dealing with tracking surprising her (and surprising her enough to pull a knife on her, and had not only been able to pull a knife, but had been able to get close enough to cut off some of her hair) and some minor property damage, it had been a mission that went well.
Jessica's typing speed slowed down, because there had been the agent who had gotten close enough to use a knife, the minor property damage, and some S.H.I.E.L.D equipment that had gotten trashed. She exhaled sharply, she was not doing this. She was not going to go down the 'what if' path, and re-think the whole mission and re-play it in her head, and make adjustments and think of what she might have done. Or she was at least going to wait until her report was filed before she started with that. She was not going to let anything (even her tendency to go over her missions over and over) ruin her back to work on a Monday morning good mood.
