Pepper really didn't know what it was about kissing Tony. She had said it before, that it was a blessing she had never kissed him sooner, because she wouldn't have been able to stop. It - he - was like a drug, a terrifying realization, which she was rather appalled to discover she had subconsciously suspected would be the case all along.
When he pulled away, it took a moment for her head to clear, but she did catch his words, and she was surprised to discover they made sense. She could think of arguments against his own, but she herself had said it: they weren't normal. "It does," she agreed. "I guess, things would always be a little different us, wouldn't they?" Whatever 'us' was.
Pepper could enjoy sports, but she wasn't passionate about them. She could certainly think of better things to do on a holiday, and even the Shopping Channel wasn't one of them. The hand creeping up her leg was far closer to the mark, and she leaned into his touch with a contented hum. She considered his idea - decorating. It surprised her for the simplicity of it. Usually, his penthouse was decorated with the office - by professionals. She decorated her own apartment a little, but to do something personal here, together...
It reminded her of Christmas with her brother; with her family. With Tony it would be... scary. Wonderful. More fun than she'd had during this season in years. "You don't have decorations," she said. "We'd have to go get some. We can borrow some from my place, go shopping." she smiled, actual excitement in her eyes. "We'd have to get a tree. We could have it delivered..."
