"Chinese comes in a box," Tony countered swiftly, grinning. "That's usually worth eating. Donuts come in a box. Also worth eating, though not with the Chinese. I could go on."
He grinned as she played with Dummy, some part of him warmly amused by it. He didn't show many people his bots, for all he was proud of them; fewer understood that for all his grousing about their abilities, they were shockingly advanced. Dummy perked up - always did, shameless flirt - when Pepper patted him.
Then she was kissing him and he was the one perking up, smiling against her mouth and setting aside the champagne to kiss her properly, one hand burying in her hair, the other flexing restlessly on her waist. "Usually I'm not one for what everyone does. We'll just have to make this ours." It was carelessly said, but the moment the words crossed his mouth he felt the power of them: no matter he'd set it up for this very purpose, her being here made it real.
"Not nearly as much fun," he said, trying - somewhat - to move beyond the serious moment. The only way this could work right now was if they had fun with it. "Unless we're very active spectators," he mused. "Leaving it up to you," he offered. For him, it was enough she was here and he wasn't alone.
