"Have you ever heard of Flat Stanley?" Dinah asked as she saved the picture of Zee kissing the cut out and went about trying to find some other ridiculous spot for poor substitute Danny Rand, "Flat Stanley is a kid's book in which a cabinet or something falls on this kid, Stanley. But instead of being killed or injured, he's just made flat as paper-- then he gets sent in the mail all over the world. So a bunch of pre-schools and stuff have kids draw their own Flat Stanleys and send them to their relatives who live out of state, and ask them to take pictures of their Stanley at all the local sites; so you could have Stanley at the Empire State Building or Stanley at the Grand Canyon, and kids get to learn about the world and all that junk." Lian had a Flat Stanley once a couple years ago and Dinah had diligently toted the thing all around Gotham, taking pictures of Wayne Tower and the harbor and even one of Stanley looking heroically towards the Bat Signal beamed up in the sky. She'd probably had way more fun with it than an adult was supposed to, in retrospect...
"So now it's Flat Danny's turn. But since these won't be going on a pre-school wall, we can tear his turkey legs off all we want." She teased right back, putting Flat Danny in Ted's seat when Ted got up to answer the door and took a picture of Flat Danny scarfing from Ted's plate.
"I'm not dating him." She insisted with a shake of her head. Why did people keep saying that? "Unless you include a regular sparring dates to be 'dating'."
Dinah looked up with a smile when Ted said Greer was here and was more than surprised at her new appearance. For a brief second she stared, then quickly remembered that staring was rude and went to give her a hug, "Happy Thanksgiving. Can I just say that I've never seen orange and furry look so damn good?"
