Harley had never considered that inviting Wade out to her family holiday was as much a favor to him as it was herself. All she wanted was for someone to help her maintain her (in)sanity throughout the disaster that was the Quinzel household. To give a worthwhile day in return was unexpected, but the thought brought a smile with it. One that did not falter as he began to talk outloud to objects she was not privy to. Jealous.
As he rambled, she slowly put together what he was trying to convey. She was awestruck, and not by his ability to maintain a proper conversation with himself. The past few weeks had been fun. More fun than just spit and glitter could bring (ew). What had started out as an escape had become something much more fulfilling. "Hey, Olsen?" She waited until she had his attention before she curled her hand in the front of his ugly sweater and planted a mint chocolate chip flavored kiss on his lip. "What are ya tryin' to do, cowboy? Ya can't get rid of me that easily. Just call me gumshoe 'cuz you're stuck with me. Like gum. On a shoe. Get it?"
