Who: Tony and Clint When: 11/21 Where: Avengers Mansion's Armory What: Tony offers Clint some fun new toys. Because "making weapons" is just a broad concept. Rating: Low (unless they set something on fire. Um. >_>)
Back when he still built weapons for the military, he hadn't thought about the body count except in a vague, undefined way, a science puzzle rather than an ethical one: a big body count meant that the explosion had worked the way it was supposed to. When he was called on the ethics, he'd brush it aside with the claim that it saved American lives. It was even probably true. Just not always true.
He still liked the science puzzles of mechanics and physics and chemistry; he still never could sit still long enough to deal with one idea at a time when he had five zipping through his brain. And every so often, he bucked the trend and played well with others. Particularly the people he was supposed to be working with and had opened up the empty mansion to; better to have SHIELD work on his turf, under his rules, than let them dictate everything.
He rather thought he'd come up with a stroke of genius this time, and contacted the appropriate person to meet him at the firing range, and bring the bow. "Legolas never had it so good," he said cheerfully as he laid out the arrows, all with different shaped tips, and then opened the case of spare arrowheads.
