Their first meeting and within the first five minutes there was tension. Not that Arthur expected otherwise, "Contingency plans are a given," he said, "Tony may be on to something, though. Instead of waiting for him fail, we work with what he's doing."
Of course they would all have different methods there, Arthur was sure. Best not to bring that up now. He turned to T'challa.
"While it is an open secret, some nations aren't as... willing to overlook as others. Or form those alliances. Especially when it's a kingdom they don't even believe exists. That becomes just as dangerous."
Mockeries were made of Atlantis and Arthur. It was hard for most to take him seriously, except for the few trusted leaders (T'challa being one), which made working with other nations difficult at the least. And Atlantis operated differently. Arthur had warriors, but not the type of military the lands above had. There wasn't much of a reason to (yet). They kept to themselves and protected their turf from dangers in the ocean. However, being from both worlds, Arthur was starting to have concerns about this particular topic.
Doom seemed eager to change the subject, and Arthur had to admit he was right as well. If they were going to move forward, they needed to stop glaring at each other and disagreeing (Arthur was supposed to be the optimistic one here).
