"It's better if you earn it." She said with a light grin, reaching up to tighten her ponytail. It wasn't that Di had any problem with getting dinner with Danny- or even letting him pay. But at the same time, she didn't need anyone to take her out for dinner. If she wanted to get something good, she could just as easily do so on her own. The last thing she wanted was for any of her friends who just happened to have more money than she could count to think that she needed them to provide for her-- not that she thought Danny was making that assumption, but it was a pride issue for her. "Next time, I won't call for pizza first though, you've made your point." She said, smiling playfully.
Dinah gave a nod when he said he would call Ted and stuffed the remaining quarter of her first slice into her mouth in an unladylike gesture that would have made her mother cringe. It wasn't helped by the fact that Danny led into the second part of the school conversation just as she managed to completely fill her mouth.
