She could counter the side choke simply by kicking her legs into the air and pulling them back over her head into a back roll, taking his arm with her and forcing him to roll or risk breaking his arm. From there, she could get him in side control and a choke of her own and hold him until he tapped out.
At least, that was the plan. But when Dinah popped her legs up the first time, she didn't quite get them all the way over, and he was going to get hip to her trick soon. She slammed her feet back down on the mat and shoved her hips and legs up again, stretching to try to get her momentum working for her, to help her roll over-- but she was too tired. She couldn't get her legs up and over, and she was already panting for breath.
It was only just starting to hit her how tired her body was, despite the fact that her mind knew what to do to turn this choke around. Out of sheer stubbornness, she gave it one more shot... to no avail.
With a groan, Dinah finally raised her free arm to Danny's shoulder and tapped twice.
