Dinah's mother and uncles had been of the same mind as Danny's dad, it seemed, and she gave a chuckle at the memories it brought up when Danny shared that his father had started working with him since he could walk. "Yeah, same. Lian... knows some things. Self-defense techniques mostly, some Judo, some Aikido, a little Brazilian Jiu Jitsu." All of which were arts that dealt well with facing an opponent bigger and stronger than she was. It was clear from the forms she listed that Lian hadn't been learning to protect herself from bullies at school... she'd been learning to protect herself from adults, and while there was a good reason for it, Dinah didn't supply it. In fact, it didn't even cross her mind. "I haven't worked with her much."
Dinah raised an incredulous, mock unamused eyebrow in his direction when he started to say the g-word but lowered it with a playfully smug look when he managed to control himself.
"Thanks." She added with genuine appreciation, and made a show of holding up her hands, palm out, as a gesture of good will-- and a promise that she wasn't going to hit him yet.
The eyebrow shot back up when he produced the blindfolds, but her expression was amused, excited even.
"Someone's been reading too much Fifty Shades of Gray." She teased but reached out to take one of the blindfolds. "I'll admit they're a little rusty-- I could definitely use a refresher course."
