"Everyone has it in them." Dinah agreed with Danny as she looked over at Jamal and giving him a thumbs up to signal her approval.
That was about the time when the other young man started calling for Danny's (and Dinah's) attention and though she gave an amused roll of her eyes at the girlfriend comment, she didn't say anything about it directly. Instead, she just said, "Focus, Javier." Mostly to remind him that his mind was supposed to be on his training, not on who his sensei was dating.
She cringed sympathetically when he fell, and offered an amicable pout that said he was sure to get it next time, and nodded her agreement with Danny.
As the kids shuffled off to shower and such, Dinah gave out high fives, hugs and hair ruffling out where requested and waves to the rest before turning her attention back to Danny.
"Sorry I was late. Things got a little..." God, how would you describe that whole ordeal wiht the guy in red at the convenience store last night. She shook her head and shrugged, "Hectic last night. I had to stop in and get some stuff cleared up with the Boss earlier."
Pausing to lean against one of the walls, Dinah kicked out of her shoes, then pulled off her socks and stuffed them down into the abandoned footwear. "The kids are looking really good." She said with a slightly proud smile. They were good kids, all of them, even those who had been in trouble before-- but then again, she had a soft spot for the hard cases.
"Hey, do you have room for one more little one? I know someone who might be interested." Being a single parent wasn't easy-- and as much as Dinah knew Roy loved Lian, she also knew that sometimes even Roy needed some time to just be a grown up.
