It would come as no surprise to anyone that knew her that Dinah adored kids. She was pretty good with them as well- from the little ones all the way up to teenagers, both of whom she had experience with. So when she opened the door and the kids swamped her, her first reaction was for a bright, vivid smile to cross her face and she gave a genuine belly laugh as the kids ran up to her.
"Hey guys." She said quietly, trying to calm the squealing from the younger ones by touching their shoulders or heads to let them know that she'd seen them while letting some of the older ones started talking to her at a rate of a mile a minute about their day, their week, what they'd been learning, how good they'd been, etc. Dinah had all the look of a mama dog who easily tolerated half a dozen puppies chew on her ears.
Usually she'd arrive a few minutes early, park her bike and change into her gi in the bathroom, but today she'd been running a little late and had changed at home. Her own gi was plain, immaculate white, though a little soft from wear. She did not have the School of Thunder symbol on her gi, nor the hanzi for thunder on her back and tied closed with a third degree black belt-- but she did have a few very simple birds on a branch embroidered on the right collar of her gi, and a bird in flight to match on the left. Both sets were embroidered neatly in black thread.
"Go on." she chided, shooing the children away from her and back to their spots, "Your sensei is waiting for you to begin his lesson. Don't keep him waiting." She gave Danny a grin from near the door and let the kids run back to their spots before she headed towards the front of the class to join Danny, making a show of bowing to him to show, by example, that one must always be respectful-- even if you were friends... especially if you were friends.
