Oh... Did she really make him so nervous? Not that it wasn't uncommon for her to make people edgy. She was far from a normal person, and when she was not keeping a tight rein on her aura, sensitive people started to get the creeps. She blinked at him, two slow blinks, watching him blurt, stop, and try again, this time much more evenly. It was interesting being able to see his face without a mask making such expressions.
"You did that well," she complimented to his pausing and breathing, and meant it. He was at least aware enough of his person to do so. Yes, he was still nervous, but his heart rate was no longer making his aura pulse with panic. "I have been... not well, but not unwell."
Now it was her turn to seem less than dead calm, distracting herself by trailing a nail along the design on her latte, pulling some of the fronds longer. "I... am having trouble. With information and starting a life here. I went to the library for information. But I could not utilize the computers without a card, or even check out books. I could not get a card without an identification. A friend gave me contact information to a girl's shelter, but I am too old for many of their programs. The money from the gold coins I had will run out soon. A means to earn is necessary."
And Cypher was her best chance. She tried a hopeful smile. It failed, though, looking merely like a tiny purse of her lips. "Perhaps we should get you something to drink..."
