He smelled her long before he caught sight of her; just as well. He didn't expect much less from her, but he was grateful for the warning before she stepped out in front of him. It meant he didn't have to waste time unsheathing his claws. He'd already had a few looters looking far too interested in him and the supplies he and the X-Men carried into the city.
"Hey," he said quietly, hooking his thumbs in his belt loops, studying her. Of course she'd look fine: she healed almost faster than he did. Didn't mean she was fine. "You ride out the storm okay?"
