Laura/Wolverine/Jason/OPEN
Laura had been out and about with Jason. It had basically become part of her routine. If she wasn't at home with Shep or at work, she was out on the streets, cleaning them up, with Jason. The storm had stalled some of the business, but most of the shady denizens had just turned to a different type of crime. Disasters really did bring out the worst in people.
She'd bundled up in her jacket, leather, matching her pants and her boots. One flap of the boots was chewed. She'd caught Shep only when he'd gotten a good hold of it. She thought about getting another pair soon and remembering to them in the closet away from him. Having a dog wasn't easy.
The damage that had been done to the city made it look like a completely new place when she'd surfaced after the storm. A lot of indicators had been washed away, but she had a mental layout of the land in her mind to guide her along. Not that she was really going anywhere. She'd just been following Jason, or rather Red Hood. She'd been following him along the ledge of a roof when the wind brought about a familiar scent.
Her route changed sharply and immediately as she hopped over the gap between the buildings and moved along the ledge of another rooftop. Then another, following the direction the smell had come. She searched the streets, not bothering to inform her partner that she'd left him. He had his goals for the night, and she'd find him when she was finished confirming what she thought had happened.
Then she spotted them. The familiar forms pooling out of the van and she couldn't help but feel a pang in her chest. Despite her efforts to separate from them, they were still important. They were her first family. She thought about going to them, but she noticed that Wolverine had separated himself from the group. She'd swing back around to greet them all later. For now, she followed him. It wasn't long before she passed him. Laura swung down the few levels of fire escape before dropping completely to the ground. She then emerged from the alley in front of him.
