Scott looked from the spot along the wall that he'd chosen for the couch, then over towards the windows where Barda had suggested and shrugged, giving a lavish bow towards the open space. She could put the couch wherever she liked-- and she was probably right about the window thing. Scott, like a lizard, liked to be in the sunlight as much and as often as possible-- a side effect from his previous life spent in the constant red dusk of Apokolips, or so he assumed anyway.
He liked that Barda was becoming more opinionated... or maybe choosing to voice those opinions more often, even when he didn't agree with them. Even that, surprisingly enough, was pretty rare. Maybe it had to do with being the only two people from Apokolips on Earth, or having both learned some of the same training at Granny's orphanage, or some other sort of similarities-- but it seemed that, more often than not, they were on the same wavelength and had an understanding of one another. That didn't mean there weren't differences or arguments... just a deeper camaraderie that ran through it all. It was... nice.
Scott looked up when the blonde man pushed the door open and suddenly looked from him to Barda and back again.
Well, there was no use trying to hide the nearly seven foot tall woman holding a couch with one hand. So, Scott did what he did best in these situations-- diverted attention.
"Hi!" He said, spring up and over a stack of boxes and sliding to the door, ducking under one of Barda's arms. He managed to stop right next to Booster, and slightly off to the side, so that the other man could never see both he and Barda at the same time. "Hi. Hey. Hi. I'm Scott." He said, offering his hand to shake, all the while trying to signal to Barda to put the couch down, and trying to pass the gesture off as a wave to the new neighbor standing in the door way. "Scott Free. It's nice to meet you, Mister...?"
