Who: Roy [Narrative / Open to SHIELD]
NPCs: Nope! None here!
Where: Helicarrier (Roy's work area)
When: November 7th, 2012
What: Roy is doing his paperwork. Which means of course that the end is nigh. (Or he's feeling uneasy and trying to distract himself).
Rating: G. It's paperwork ...
Roy had spent the morning doing some desk cleaning, of the filling out old reports, and updating various files sort. Then when that had gotten old (which honestly after about thirty minutes of it, Roy had been ready for a break) he had started arranging things into piles, and basically reorganizing his entire desk area. He had now put that aside, and was staring at his computer screen although he wasn't really seeing the text on it. No. He was thinking of how he could manage the pick up of Lian from Ollie's tonight. He was a trained SHIELD agent, and before that he had been a trained - well sidekick. Picking up his daughter from the Queen Brownstone should not be a task that made him nervous.
He just - he so didn't want to hear about the election from Ollie. Ollie would make perfectly valid points about Roy, and his job, and then Roy would get annoyed, and well it just wouldn't be good. So he was trying to think of ways to just get Lian out, and into the car with minimal chance to talk to Ollie about current events. (This was just all delaying, Roy knew. There would be some sort of family Chilli dinner in his future and then he'd be trapped at a table with Mia and Ollie, and there would be no escape.)
Scowling at his computer screen, he closed the window he had been looking at and brought up google. Then he started looking at vacation spots. Maybe he'd cash in some of his vacation time - take Lian someplace warm, and nice. They had gotten cheated out of two weeks of summer after all, with all that Frost Giant Business. Honestly Roy was feeling unsettled by the results of the election, and he didn't want to hear anyone else confirm and give validation to his concerns.
