For awhile, they moved in silence, heading toward where he'd left the batmobile. It was the new one, adapted from the design he and Tony had created for Stark Industries' flying car. Modified so as not to be identical and enhanced with his own special features, such as protective and defensive features, he was very proud of it. Not that he would say so, but he did feel a degree of satisfaction as he disengaged the cloaking device with a slightly iridescent ripple of light to reveal the shiny black carapace of his new baby.
Making a quick inventory of said companions, Batman determined what might be relevant to tell her and what not. They also had friends in common whom she was likely to talk to herself.
"Yes," he gave her the short answer first. "Tim's father was murdered; he's back in Gotham, but until recently, he's been away to clear his head." Closing the door as he settled into the driver's seat, he prepared to take off. "Clark," Batman paused. "There was an incident in Metropolis on the Fourth of July. He'll probably tell you about it, but you ought to see the footage, first. Lois was kidnapped by Joker and Clark was provoked by him with Joker Venom, Fear Toxin, and shards of Kryptonite into using his eyes to kill Joker. He believes he's a murderer; I believe he's innocent and that Joker is out there, somewhere. Either way, it doesn't matter. SHIELD - a government spy organization - has cleared him of all charges, but Clark feels... well. You can imagine."
That seemed to be it, and in silence, he lifted off the roof and engaged the cloaking device again, heading for the 'cave' hidden beneath the Wayne Foundation. Then he remembered something.
