Wanda took the blanket from Pietro's hands and spread it out over her lap. She set Eira's bottom onto her lap so she could rest her tired arm, holding her close against her.
"She should be fine," Wanda replied, giving Pietro a reassuring smile. "The sounds from the storm are just upsetting her. She's always been a bit sensitive to noise." She placed a soft kiss on the crown of her child's head as she stroked her dark hair.
"She'll eventually grow tired and fall asleep. It's obvious she's growing exhausted. My poor girl."
