She brightened at his comment-- happy that things had somehow managed to get back on track (a miracle to be sure) and laughed into her glass. From the rest of the evening, she was determined to actually be a date instead of the grand inquisitor; and from there they could have a good time and not worry about anything past that.
"Psycho killers could have a weakness for cupcakes too, you know." She teased with a mock serious expression. "Everyone loves cupcakes."
Smiling, she took another sip of wine before adding, "Ted says hi by the way." In reality, Ted hadn't only said 'hi' but also a few choice phrases about what he thought about Carter trying to beat him in a sparring match-- and, incidentally, that he was maybe marginally glad he was still alive and all that. He'd also given Dinah a certain look when she said she was having dinner with him-- a look that had only made her the more suspicious; but whatever clues or opinions the former Heavyweight Champion had, he kept to himself. Or would at least until he talked to the man himself.
