The Carrier hadn't been a place to celebrate Halloween before. Most people went off ship and crawled clubs or stayed home, if they weren't defending the planet from extra-terrestrial threats. This year, the new SHIELD liaison/former prisoner, Tora had decided to try and raise morale and camaraderie by throwing a party.
Through out the last few weeks, the members of SWORD had found themselves seated at a table making decorations to put up around the room. The lights were low, but not low enough to hide the fact that there were paper witches and cats cut outs plastered all over everything. The paper mache creations the crew had put out looked like things crafted by a class of first graders, not that anyone was about to take credit for anything. They were just happy the party was finally there and they could all relax in their costumes.
The crew didn't seem to mind that there were non-SWORD members around. They were even polite to them. Even Guy. (This was most likely due to Tora being super sweet.) They mostly wandered in and out, as some of them were still working. While the Carrier could pilot itself, there was still a need for monitoring Earth Space traffic.
Smoke rolled along the floor as atmospheric music played loud enough for people to hear, but low enough for people to talk over. There were several places to lounge along with tables stocked with food. There was obviously an open bar for anyone who wanted a drink. The lights were low, setting the mood, but not low enough that people would stumble.
