She didn't strike him, but she wasn't about to let him off the hook just yet. Everything he said was true-- at least in so much that he knew about her mother. He knew she wasn't a natural blonde, that she'd worn a wig, that she'd been close with Ted. But anyone could do that, were they to do enough homework, enough digging.
He said he had been around for a long time. Okay... okay she could believe that- conceivably. She knew a lot of people who had been around for a long time. She was still going to check out everything that he said, she was going to talk to Ted and find out if he was who he said he was-- and if this was some kind of trick...
He didn't look like he was lying though-- so either he was telling the truth or he was a very very good liar.
Dinah sighed and shoved a hand back through her hair, brushing it out of her face and crossed her arms over her chest, rubbing her arms to stave off the chill. She'd dropped the intimidation routine at least, though she still hadn't completely relaxed.
"Well... points for honesty." She said sincerely, the gears turning through her brain, "I'm going to check this out with Ted, you know." She offered, half to simply tell him her plans and half to warn him in case he was lying. And if he was lying...
Dinah gave a slight chuckle when he asked if they could forget it and go back to dancing. "I don't feel like dancing anymore," She admitted with her eyes averted, but finally turned them back to him and added, more quietly, "But if you want to buy me a drink, we can find some place to talk." Someplace that wasn't cold and rainy. Preferably a corner table somewhere in the back of the bar.
