Logan showed up, and obby watched as he and Pete fell into their usual buddy routine. Bobby, for his part, hadn't really developed much of a rapport with Logan; he'd been too intimidated by the man to think of him as a father or older brother figure.
On the other hand, Bobby did consider Pete to be something of an older brother. The two of them had joined the school within a year of each other, and they'd both been inherntly shy. They'd found themselves paired up during powers-building exercises to develop their confidence. Bobby would be instructed to create ice structures too thick for Peter to punch through, and Pete would be instructed to forego his ingrained gentleness to hit as hard as he could. Matched against each other, they began to test the limits of their abilities in ways they were reluctant to do on their own, and the friendly competition was designed to coax them out of their shells. It seemed to have worked, at least in Bobby's case.
And now, Peter and Logan were plotting the downfall of Jubes' new boyfriend. He hoped they were joking.
"So, Pete, did you get caught up in all that age-swapping weirdness with the reality shows?" He wondered if Pete had been spared, or if he'd regressed to the way he'd been in his teens.
