Pete chuckled at Logan's approach and gave him a firm but friendly nod by way of greeting. "It is good to be back." He assured the much shorter man.
Many of the students had a paternal relationship with wayward Wolverine-- they came to him for advice and protection and he had a soft spot for teens in need of someone like that in their lives. And that was all well and good.
But despite the vast age difference, the closest Logan came to a familiar relationship in Piotr's mind was a big brother role (which was nice to have. It had been many years since Piotr had a big brother), with whom one could drink and get into trouble. In fact, Logan and Kurt were two of Pete's very best friends in the world. It was good to have family-- but it was also very good to have friends.
"You are already planning trip to Gotham?" Pete asked, though it wasn't really a question, his expression amused.
