Bobby was 6'1", so he was by no means a short guy. Pete on the other hand was not only a few inches taller, he was much more massively-built. So one might have expected Pete's clap on the shoulder to send Bobby staggering, but instead, Pete had possibly the gentlest touch of anyone he knew.
Bobby's mind was abuzz with some sort of joke about Pete's jet lag -- in Soviet Russia, jet lags you or somesuch -- but he decided to keep a lid on it. Pete didn't always get his sense of humor. "Long flights will do that to you," he replied instead. "Good thing your room is still right where you left it. Last time I checked."
Pete asked where everyone else was, and Bobby answered, "a lot of us are having a Gaming Night in the rec room. As for the rest, most of them are busy with stuff. Logan's being Logan. 'Ro's now living in New Jersey of all places. I don't know if you got her texts, but Jubilee's aunt moved pulled her out of the school and moved her to someplace safer." Bobby sighed. "That safer 'someplace' is Gotham City, also in Jersey. Yes, that Gotham. Which is either the most ironic thing ever or a disturbing commentary on the things we deal with at this school."
