Re: T'Challa/The Black Panther
T'Challa remained silent for nearly a minute, as he processed what they were tellin him. Reed's genuine display of admiration moved T'Challa beyond words. He looked up finally, gazing at Reed.
"I believe this is a very, very, dangerous idea. More dangerous than repulsor weapons or arc reactor technology, more than zero-point energy."
He shifted his attention to Tony. "You are deciding, on your own, that you are the earth's true protectors. That the members of this--this modern day illuminati, are qualified to make decisions which will effect millions of lives." He shook his head "It is irony personified when a king has to mention that you have been neither elected nor appointed to this position."
He stood and turned away from them. "You will meet in secret, and make decisions which will affect the world profoundly, and they will never know it." He turned, throwing out his hands as he faced them. "Not only this, but you include a tyrant responsible for innumerable deaths, and a political operator who has schemed, stolen, and likely murdered his way to a position of power."
He looked at them with incredulity. "You honestly believe that this will end in anything, anything, but scandal and failure?"
He slumped down in his chair, shaking his head. Sighing, he finally looked back to Reed. "I am shamed to speak this way to you, after you have so honoured me with your words... I believe this is wrong, but I believe you will not heed my warnings. And if I cannot stop you, then I must accept." He shrugged, looking at Reed "I cannot allow you to embark on this journey- folly though it may be- alone." He extended a hand "And I hope that once again you will prove me wrong, my friend."
