Re: Lex Luthor
The office was as expansive as ever, the pull of one's focus going to the very large set of windows that took up almost 3/4's of the room itself. Outside and below, lay the city of Metropolis, shining and glittering in the sunlight, and an impressive view.
Lex ignored the windows for the moment, crossing instead to the well-stocked bar to the side. "Please, have a seat gentlemen," he said, nodding not to the seats in front of his desk, but to a set of very comfortable looking chairs. "And if you like, please help yourself to anything at the bar." Luthor was fixing himself a small amount of brandy, and brought out a small box of very fine cigars.
Finally, he took a seat in one of the chairs, arranging himself comfortably. An eyebrow lifted at Tony's question as he went about preparing the cigar and lighting it. "Hmm. I am looking to change America, that is true. Working very hard at it now that it's almost time for the election. But the world, Tony?" There was a slightly amused smile. "The Romans took offense to Caesar having such lofty goals. Or perhaps you meant something a bit more academic."
He glanced at Reed as he inhaled on the cigar and then let out a puff of smoke. "I must admit, two of the most brilliant minds in the world coming to see me with promises of bettering the world has me curious. Why don't you explain a bit more?" And he sipped from his glass, his expression turning into a mixture of shrewd and curious.
