Re: T'Challa/The Black Panther
The difference, Tony always assumed, was that he said things; sure, more people hated him than Reed for any number of reasons, but at least he tried, and usually the lack of a filter on his mouth served him well. However, it also served him well to have someone along with him to take point when his usual brand of flippancy would actually work against them.
Therefore, after a brief "Duly noted", he shut up and let Reed take point, and then T'Challa lead them down into the secret passage. He had to detour around to take a look at the lab equipment, glancing over at the computers, not looking at the information displayed so much as the hardware itself.
He did come around to the table, dropping into the offered chair, settling into serious discussion - because this was important, even if he could find several amusing lines in it. "Reed did some calculations on the state of the world," he began. "And found cycles of cataclysmic destruction, and that we're long overdue for the next one; given the various problems of hunger, disease, war - the usual culprits throughout history - we as a species are likely to destroy the world. Which is a problem, since I like the world. We had an idea to save it." And that was Reed's cue.
